ThriveWay’s Peer Helpers PLUS Recognized as Best Practice by Suicide Prevention Resource Center

FAIRHOPE, AL —  June 27, 2025 — ThriveWay is proud to announce that its flagship program, Peer Helpers PLUS, has officially been added to the Suicide Prevention Resource Center’s (SPRC) Best Practice Registry. This significant milestone affirms the program’s effectiveness in promoting youth mental health and preventing suicide among students in grades K–12.

The inclusion in the SPRC Best Practice Registry follows rigorous evaluation by two independent research groups, which confirmed the Empirically Defined Evidence of Peer Helpers PLUS. These studies demonstrated the program’s effectiveness in delivering education and training that positively impacts students ages 5–17.

Allison Moore, Co-Founder and President of ThriveWay, shared: “It’s with deep gratitude and pride that I share the news of our recent award recognition. Our journey has always been rooted in an evidence-based strategy, and witnessing the positive results over the years has been truly rewarding. Having two outside evaluation groups conduct studies on our program, and receiving review from such a distinguished panel at the Suicide Prevention Resource Center, is both humbling and exhilarating.

This recognition reaffirms our commitment to our core mission: to support K-12 schools through our Peer Helpers PLUS program. Our heartfelt desire is to continue providing this vital support, fostering safe and caring environments for students and educators alike.

I feel truly blessed to be part of an organization that genuinely loves people—both students and educators—and dedicates itself daily to delivering uplifting materials and unwavering support. My cup overflows with gratitude and hope for what’s to come.”

The Peer Helpers PLUS program is currently implemented in schools throughout the country, giving students across various communities access to life-changing peer support, leadership training, and mental health resources.

ThriveWay remains dedicated to empowering schools with tools that foster mental health awareness, resilience, and connectedness among students. This national recognition further validates the impact of the Peer Helpers PLUS program and the organization’s vision for safer, stronger school communities.
