To put it plainly… the struggles are real for students and for adults! Mental health is equally as important as our physical health; however, we typically spend less time caring for our mental wellbeing. Visiting urgent care, getting an annual check-up, or eating nightly dinner are all ways we positively address our physical wellness. As an adult, we also juggle work, laundry, and home finances. Add physical care and adult responsibilities with the major role of parenting and it can shift our stress level to new heights. We strive to connect, relate and support our children yet it is difficult to do so in a world that is moving faster than an express train! This fast-paced life can lead to new obstacles in which may be rooted in our mental health and well-being. Let’s remember that how well we navigate life’s challenges is closely related to the state of our mental health; therefore, our mental wellbeing is well worth an investment.
