“Parenting is certainly not for the weak!” As a first-time parent, or first time as a 5th grade parent, the challenges continue to come and grow in depth from homework, to hobbies, to the number of “best friends.” It can be mentally tasking as an adult; remember that it is more challenging for your student. Mental health is equally as important as our physical health; however, we typically spend less time caring for our mental wellbeing even though it can help us stay strong during the toughest of times.
